MALDON district councillors plan to introduce a new minimum £1 charge at all council-owned car parks in Maldon town centre.At the Community Service Committee meeting on Tuesday, councillors agreed to bring in the charge for up to an hour's stay at the White Horse, Butt Lane and High St East car parks – up from 80p.It also plans to up the charges for longer periods by 10p, but there will be no changes proposed for Promenade Park.Judy Lea, from the Stop Taxing Our Parking (STOP)...
