Greater Anglia rail services have been suspended this afternoon after a tree fell onto power lines between Ingatestone and Chelmsford.
Delays of up to 90 minutes are now predicted, while some services will be cancelled.
At 7.30pm, a shuttle service started to run between Witham and Colchester in both directions, and a bus service was laid on between Shenfield and Witham.
